Emily Thayer Sterrett hails from California, where she spent the first eighteen years of her life lip syncing to Barbra Streisand albums. She is a graduate of The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (or AMDA, for those who are short on time and patience), where she trained with glorious teachers such as Dan Daily, Ray Virta, and Dr. Roxanna Stuart. She graduated in 2012, with certification in theatre, improv and film performance. Favorite roles include: the Nurse (Romeo & Juliet), Becca (Rabbit Hole), Hennie Berger (Awake and Sing!), and Herman's Mother (Wedding Band). She has worked most recently at The People's Improv Theatre, Clarion Theatre and The New York Educational Theatre.
She currently resides in Manhattan with her cat, Celia Keenan-Bolger, named after Broadway's Tony nominated actress, Celia Keenan-Bolger, who is always the first audience for new material.
